VISION
The English Department strives to help students develop a better understanding of themselves, communicate effectively, and become critical thinkers.
MISSION
Students will achieve these goals by voicing their stories, engaging in meaningful conversations, developing and supporting their positions through research, reading and identifying credible and factual information, and writing effectively by responding to and analyzing fiction and non-fiction texts.
GOAL
Students will be able to take a position, support that position, lead classroom discussions, and use academically mature language.
