School for Accelerated Studies
The SAS program is an accelerated program designed for highly motivated students that provides enrichment and ongoing support. SAS offers rigorous academic coursework preparing students to submit competitive transcripts to the most prestigious universities.
Birmingham Community Charter High School is the ONLY high school in the San Fernando Valley that has a full articulation agreement with LACCD (Los Angeles Community College District) that allows students to complete the equivalent of two years of undergraduate college coursework while in high school.

- Provide acceleration and enrichment to highly motivated students
- Prepare students to submit competitive transcripts to the most prestigious universities by following a prescribed 4-year plan that allows students to complete a variety of Honors, Advanced Placement (AP), and College Level courses
- Complete the Inter-Segmental General Education Transfer Curriculum (IGETC) approved by the University of California and California State University systems
