As a Freshman Counselor at Birmingham, I am committed to assisting my students make the exciting transition from middle school to high school. I believe in empowering students to be active participants in their education while encouraging them to succeed academically. I enjoy working with both students and their families, helping them navigate the high school process.

About Me:
I attended college at the University of California, San Diego and received my BS in Psychology with a Minor in Human Development. I went to graduate school at the University of California, Los Angeles and received my Masters in Social Welfare with a PPS in School Social Work and Child Welfare & Attendance. After working as a social worker for several years, I realized that my passion was working with students in the schools. I pursued my PPS in School Counseling and have been working as a School Counselor at Birmingham since 2008.

If you have any questions, I would love to talk with you. Please feel free to contact me via email or phone.

Sincerely,
Sami Brown, LCSW
