Dear Birmingham Community,
It is with great enthusiasm I begin my seventh year in education and my third year (2018-2019) at BCCHS. I am motivated by the democratizing power of education and hope to support students cooperatively in their successes in and outside of the classroom.
Raised in a small town in Northern California on the backroads near Lake Tahoe , I moved to the Southern California in 2003. I am involved in a number of activities including time with my son (second year of college) and granddaughter, martial arts, volunteer as community officer, my work for Shriner's Hospital and the Tournament of Rose Parade.
I am proud to serve on a dynamic team at BCCHS and support the school vision of "collaborat[ing] to create an academically challenging, personalized, an supportive environment" for students to pursue their own academic and career goals.
To ensure success, students should adhere to the syllabus, regularly attend class, effectively use classroom time and complete all assigned work.
Students should have the following supplies:
- Notebook (for AP Euro); Loose paper (for US History)
- Pens and pencils
I look forward to the new school year and a productive partnership for student success. If I can be of any assistance, please feel free to contact me.
