Dear Birmingham Community,

It is with great enthusiasm I begin my eighteenth year in education and my fifth year (2020-2021) at BCCHS.  I am motivated by the democratizing power of education and hope to support students cooperatively in their successes in and outside of the classroom.

Raised in a small town in Northern California near Lake Tahoe, I moved to the Southern California in 2003.  I am involved in a number of activities including time with my granddaughter (she is nearly 3), my son (college student), run and bike, and work in a number of other organizations such as my local lodge, Shriners, and the Tournament of Rose Parade.

I am proud to serve on a dynamic team at BCCHS and support the school vision of "collaborat[ing] to create an academically challenging, personalized, an supportive environment" for students to pursue their own academic and career goals.

Due to the COVID-19 crisis, BCCHS continues to offer distance learning through Zoom and Google Classroom.

To ensure success online, students should:

  • Attend and participate in virtual conferencing schedule
  • Check Google Classroom every day.
  • Email me if they have questions
  • Complete all work as expected by the deadlines
  • Contact BCCHS if experiencing technology issues

I look forward to the new school year and a productive partnership for student success.  If I can be of any assistance, please feel free to contact me.

Sincerely,
