Local Control and Accountability Plan
The 2023 LCAP is attached below and represents Birmingham's strategies and actions for the next school year utilizing state funds provided pursuant to the Local Control Funding Formula (LCFF). During the COVID pandemic, both the state and federal governments allocated additional funds (ESSER; GEER; ELO; CRF) to schools to maintain a safe and clean campus learning environment, mitigate learning loss, and address the academic and social-emotional impact of the pandemic on students, families, and school staff. Birmingham has continued to document those strategies and actions funded by and applicable to these additional grants in the LCAP. The Plan is substantial and is organized in sections in the following order:

Since receiving additional federal funding under the CARES Act, CRSSA Act, and ARP Act, Birmingham was required to prepare and make public additional plans that document the school's strategies, actions, and uses of federal funds to address the academic, social, emotional, and mental health impacts of the COVID-19 pandemic on our students and their families. Those reports include the Expanded Learning Opportunities Plan and the ESSER III Expenditure Plan.
